Warbirds Over Wanaka

Welcome to Warbirds Over Wanaka (WOW) 2012! WOW is unlike any other aviation event - the mountain scenery and amphitheatre provide a stunning backdrop to an extravaganza of action over three days. Join the RNZAF in celebrating their 75th Anniversary and see some new military hardware. Over the three days you will see warbirds, jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays and much more! Static displays include Ford cars, trucks and other vehicles through the Ages, Warhorses (military vehicles) and other displays. Taste wine and food from Central Otago, make use of the special children’s area and créche and purchase memorabilia of your stay in Wanaka from trade stalls. Parking is complimentary with a park and ride option for the disabled and elderly.

Purchase your Gold and Silver Pass for grandstand seating or walk amongst the displays whilst watching the Airshow.

Friday 6th April 2012 is practice day for aircraft and all ground displays and stalls will be operational. Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th are the Airshow display days where the action is continuous from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Gates open at 7.30am on all three days.
