Aphra Trio

The Aphra Trio will perform Allegro Moderato from Op 63 by Weber and then Lissa and Marsha will play Theme from Schindler's List by John Williams. Anna and Marsha will play the Nocturne by Gaubert, followed by Lissa and Marsha performing Allegro Moderato from Sonata Op 18 by Anton Rubenstein. Finally the Aphra Trio will perform Allegro Moderato from the Grande Trio Op 119 by Kuhlau.

Lissa Cowie
Born in Scotland, Lissa emigrated to New Zealand at the age of 12. She studied cello at Auckland University with postgraduate study at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Lissa now enjoys being part of the Top of the South's vibrant music scene and is a NCMA accredited teacher.

Marsha Stringer
Marsha studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, specialising in oboe and piano. She gained a degree in music, G.R.S.M.(Lond.) and a diploma in teaching, L.R.A.M. Since emigrating to NZ Marsha has played in a number of concerts including a two piano recital in Melbourne. Marsha is currently teaching music privately and is an associate of the I.R.M.T.

Anna Maitland
Anna holds a Master of Music with 1st Class Honours in performance flute from The University of Auckland, a Master of Music Therapy from The New Zealand School of Music and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching from The University of Auckland. Although classically trained, Anna enjoys a diverse range of music and feels equally at home performing both classical and contemporary genres. Anna is a NCMA accredited teacher.
