'Electrifying' - 'extraordinarily animated'-'featuring rare and natural charisma'....

These are words used to describe Fiona Pears, the highly talented violinist and composer from Christchurch.
Fiona performs Celtic, Classical, Tango, Jazz and Gypsy with equal ease, sometimes all in the same composition!

Notable performing highlights include appearing at Ronnie Scott's world famous jazz club in London and playing her own compositions and arrangements with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Fiona has released five CDs and two DVDs to date. Her latest CD Swing Driven Thing is due for release at the end of 2013. Fiona has also performed as a soloist with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and the Trust Waikato Symphony Orchestra.

Fiona will be performing with Ian Tilley (piano) and La Petite Manouche (the exciting gypsy jazz guitar duo).

La Petite Manouche is a collaboration between Christchurch guitarists Burke Goffe and Robbie Averill. They blend Parisian and the gypsy-jazz style popularised by Django Reinhardt with modern jazz, world, folk, classical music and more.
